Who we are & what we do
Mawsley Parish Council is made up of 7 elected councillors who serve for a four year term. All Councillors are holders of public office and give their time voluntarily.
The council held an uncontested election in May 2025 and has filled all 7 seats.
The Parish Clerk is Miss Fiona Young who looks after the day to day running of the Council and administers its finances. The Clerk can be contacted on 07746138218 during normal office hours or email clerk@mawsleyparishcouncil.gov.uk
Council Meetings - see the diary of meetings for more information, our meetings are usually held on the third Monday of the month, starting at 7.00pm in The Centre at Mawsley (TCAM) meeting room.

Standing orders are the written rules of Mawsley Parish Council. They are used to confirm the Council's internal organisational, administrative and procurement procedures and procedural matters for meetings. They are not the same as the policies of a Council but they may refer to them. Documents relating to the financial management of the council are found here

Parish Council Elections
We are really pleased to have filled all 7 seats in the parish council in the May 2025 elections. We had an 'uncontested' election and have 3 new parish councillors and 4 returning councillors who have served before. the full list of parish councillors taking their seats from May 3rd 2025 are as follows-

Members Code of Conduct and Register of Interests
The Code of Conduct sets out the standard of conduct expected from Mawsley Parish Councillors.

Fiona Young
Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to the Council
Fiona writes,
'I have been working with parish councils for the last 13 years, I passed the Certificate of Local Council Administration in 2013 and am also Clerk and RFO for West Hunsbury Parish Council in Northampton. I also conduct local council audits on behalf of Northants County Association of Local Councils.
The work is varied and sometimes challenging but I enjoy working with different communities and the challenges that presents.
I live in a small village in North Northants with my family and our dogs.'
